One of the great keys to happiness is to learn to have an “attitude of gratitude” and a thankful heart, recognizing all God has blessed us with. With Thanksgiving just a few weeks away, here is an easy family night lesson on gratitude to get you on your way.

Have everyone brainstorm the “major” blessings we tend to think of readily. This may include:
After the “easy” answers are discussed briefly, have each person take a turn naming something else they are grateful for and why.
In our house we always have to check off things like video games, parties, etc., in order to get some children to search for less obvious blessings.
