Women Pray in LDS General Conference LDS

Do not tell me speaking out is futile!

Whenever I (or someone I know) speaks up about a problem in the church, an inequity that should be resolved, an issue that needs to be addressed, someone, somewhere pipes up with one of the following:

  1. You are displaying apostasy by refusing to support the brethren.
  2. If you make it an issue, the church leaders will refuse to act just to prove they don't bow to public pressure.

Maybe not.

In an article just published a few minutes ago by Peggy Fletcher Stack, she claims that a woman will be praying in a general session of April's General Conference. I've been talking about this forever. I couldn't be happier!

On her Facebook post linking to her article, she writes, “Dear FB friends, My sources for this story are solid. Trust me. I am a professional journalist. I do not go into print with rumors.”

Peggy is a solid writer. I trust her back.
