President Linda Kjar Burton
Former member of the Relief Society General Board.
1st Counselor Carole Manzel Stephens
Former member of the Relief Society General Board.
2nd Counselor Linda Sheffield Reeves
Former mission president's wife and stake Relief Society president. (Scroll down on that link to see her. Funny, the top picture on that page is of Jerry and Portia Boggess, dear friends of ours. They had just barely returned from their mission presidency when they came to Jessica's wedding last year. But I digress.)
Called just a few minutes ago. Will be updated later.
Alison Moore Smith is a 61-year-old entrepreneur who graduated from BYU in 1987. She has been (very happily) married to Samuel M. Smith for 40 years. They are parents of six incredible children and grandparents to two astounding grandsons. She is the author of The 7 Success Habits of Homeschoolers.
Thanks for sharing this info. I was wondering if the Linda Reeves just called was my former Young Women’s leader–and it is! Awesome!
Look forward to getting to know our new General Relief Society Presidency but I will really miss hearing from Sister Beck.
You’ll come to love Sister Burton, too. She served as Mission Mom in Korea, my son in law’s mission, and he loved her and her husband dearly. They are real people-people, genuinely interested in ‘their’ missionaries’ lives. They sent a wonderful wedding gift for my daughter’s wedding, plus a personal cookbook of their family recipes, and some from the missionaries they served with. As busy as they are, to “value the one” means a lot. I’m very happy to sustain her.
Andrea, that’s neat!
jennycherie, I will, too. I have quite liked President Beck.
deb, another connection! 🙂 I look forward to hearing all of them. Maybe they’ll get to speak soon.
What I really love about listening to Sister Beck is thought she always makes me feel powerful and I want to do more and be better. I always felt like she was challenging me to be better than I thought I could be.
deb – it’s nice to hear your personal connection to Sister Burton. I am looking forward to getting to know her.
The other thing that occurred to me this morning ( a real ‘duh’ moment) was that I won’t get to hear Sister Allred and Sister Thompson either! Do they have fan clubs?
