Alison Moore Smith is a 61-year-old entrepreneur who graduated from BYU in 1987. She has been (very happily) married to Samuel M. Smith for 40 years. They are parents of six incredible children and grandparents to two astounding grandsons. She is the author of The 7 Success Habits of Homeschoolers.
:hee hee: I like Caleb. Can I be his missionary companion?
Oh, no! I’ve been out of town and there are a million posts. What happened?
I picked this thread because it had the least posts and I knew I could read it. Very cute. Toddlers are just very cute.
I love these sweet little conversations. I started a little book of them when my son started talking. He would just say the darndest things, sometimes very profound things that I never imagined would come from the mouth of a 2 year old, and I didn’t want to forget them. So I bound together some pages between two sheets of cardstock, drew a front cover and made them more durable with clear contact paper, and tied them together with yarn, and started writing down all the great conversations. I treasure that book, and he loves looking through it and reading what came out of his mouth 10 years ago.
Wonderful idea!
My mom did something kind of related, and I do it to. Whenever my kids draw a picture, I ask them about all the different things they drew. Then I write, verbatim, their responses right on the paper, with arrows to what they were talking about. It’s seriously hilarious years later and one of my kids’ favorite things to look at.
