The artwork is wonderful and is love to win it
Kirt land is special to us – we just spent a year in Ohio and my wife’s ancestor Titus billings is mentioned in the D&C for his role in helping the saints there!!
The Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is currently the owner of the Kirtland Temple. Strange arrangement. They have no clue as to the true purpose of temples.
D&C 137:9
For I, The Lord, will judge all men according to their works , according to the desires of their hearts.
Gives me hope that my good desires and honest intentions tempered by the restraints of life and things I can’t control may not condemn me.
Happy Holidays and praise to the Reason for the Season! Our Savior Jesus Christ
Beautiful pic Alison!
My favorite scripture
Doctrine and Covenants Chapter 18
15 And if it so be that you should labor all your days in crying repentance unto this people, and bring, save it be one soul unto me, how great shall be your joy with him in the kingdom of my Father!
16 And now, if your joy will be great with one soul that you have brought unto me into the kingdom of my Father, how great will be your joy if you should bring many souls unto me!
What a beautiful picture!
In memory of our God, our religion, and freedom, and our peace, our wives, and our children—Alma and the story of the Title of Liberty is my favorite scripture. 🙂
Your right it is beautiful! Thank you this fun chance to win.
Count me in for that beauty!
D&C 82:10 I the Lord am bound when you do what I say, but when ye do not what I say, yea have no Promise. Thanks for the opportunity!
Isaiah 41:10 Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.
Favorite Scripture? There are too many, I find new favorites every day, let’s see…Proverbs 3:4–5 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding, In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
This is lovely. One of my favorite scriptures is 1 Ne 3:7. It gives me strength to do hard things. Wonderful giveaway, thank you.
What a beautiful print! I’d love to be entered. You said favorite scripture, right? So hard to choose but probably 1 Nephi 1:20.
“For behold I, Nephi, will show unto you that the tender mercies of the Lord are over all those he hath chosen, because of their faith, and he shall make them mighty even unto power of deliverance.”
This is a beautiful picture. We held a youth conference in Kirtland a few years ago and had a wonderful experience. Today my favorite scripture is Ether 12:4 “Wherefore, whoso believeth in God might with surety hope for a better world, yea, even a place at the right hand of God, which hope cometh of faith, maketh an anchor to the souls of men, which would make them sure and steadfast, always abounding in good works, being led to glorify God.”
It’s lovely. Stopped in Kirtland this summer en route across country.
1 Nephi 4:6 â€And I Nephi was led by the spirit, not knowing beforehand the things which I should do.â€
I’ve been wanting a temple picture in our home for a long time. I hope I win!
What an uplifting gift to any home! <3 I enter for that!

And inasmuch as my people build a house unto me in the name of the Lord, and do not suffer any unclean thing to come into it, that it be not defiled, my glory shall rest upon it;
D & C 97:15
I’ ve not been a member very long, and am currently in the Temple Prep class, it is so very exciting!
“And he [the Savior] hath brought to pass the redemption of the world, whereby he that is found guiltless before him at the judgment day hath it given unto him to dwell in the presence of God in his kingdom, to sing ceaseless praises with the choirs above, unto the Father, and unto the Son, and unto the Holy Ghost, which are one God, in a state of happiness which hath no end.” (Mormon 7:7)
Some of those choirs sang at the dedication of the Kirtland Temple.
“And I said unto him: I know that he loveth his children; nevertheless, I do not know the meaning of all things.” – 1 Nephi 11:17
That is a beautiful picture.
1 Nephi 3:7
7 And it came to pass that I, Nephi, said unto my father: I will go and do the things which the Lord hath commanded, for I know that the Lord giveth no commandments unto the children of men, save he shall prepare a way for them that they may accomplish the thing which he commandeth them.
Recently I have been keeping a daily journal of the tender mercies that The Lord has given me. My favorite scripture right now is 1 Nephi 1:10. Love the beautiful picture. Any temple picture is beautiful!
3 Nephi 5:13 Behold, I am a disciple of Jesus Christ, the Son of God. I have been called of him to declare his word among his people, that they might have everlasting life.
Alma 37:37
Counsel with the Lord in all your doings…
Lovely print! I just read one of my favorite scriptures this morning: Romans 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ:for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth.
This is such a gorgeous print. One of my favorite scripture is from when I was a child in primary:
1 Nephi 3:7
“…I will go and do the things which the lord hath commanded, for I know that the Lord giveth no commandments unto the children of men, save he shall prepare a way for them that they may accomplish the thing which he hath commanded them.
wickedness never was Happiness
Alma 41:10
2 Nephi 2:25 Adam Fell that men might be and men are that they might have joy.
having a temple picture would increase the joy in our house 😉
Ether 12:27 is a perennial favorite. Seems to be a pretty common theme for my life. 🙂
My favorite scripture:
D&C 98:1–3
1 Verily I say unto you my friends, fear not, let your hearts be comforted; yea, rejoice evermore, and in everything give thanks;
2 Waiting patiently on the Lord, for your prayers have entered into the ears of the Lord of Sabaoth, and are recorded with this seal and testament—the Lord hath sworn and decreed that they shall be granted.
3 Therefore, he giveth this promise unto you, with an immutable covenant that they shall be fulfilled; and all things wherewith you have been afflicted shall work together for your good, and to my name’s glory, saith the Lord.
I like lots of Ether 12, but at the moment? verse 4.
Good Christmas vibes to everyone – –
My son who was not active at the time drove across the country with me. I stopped at the Kirkland Temple. He went in with me. We “got lost” on the tour and ended up at the top of the stairs on the 3rd floor. Even though I was being bad by going through the ropes, my son was feeling something. I know he loved being there. He let me take a photo of him which to this day makes me the happiest mom. This son has kidney disease and he was diagnosed at the age of twelve. It’s hard to see him come to the time of needing the transplant. But one thing that I am rest assured about is that he has given me hope of a celestial family. He is ever so slowly growing in the gospel, but he is growing and that means so much. It was very special to have Matt and I being together in that temple. I know that he will be there with us as we go before our maker as an eternal family.

My scripture: Matthew 18:4 Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child the same is greater in the kingdom of Heaven.
