If anything truly enhances family time, I'm completely on board. But as I've told you before, I'm not a huge advocate of “screen time.” Sure, it's attractive. Still the value of spending more and more time staring at a virtual world (whether through TV, computer, or video games) should at least be questioned.
If you have decided that a video system is right for your family (we did!), consider the PlayStation®MOVE. It's got a realistic interface and an immersive gaming experience. The motion controller has an all-new design. It comes with a camera that tracks your movements. The navigation controller adds input for some games. It's a new gaming experience that could lend itself to interaction and fun for family members, if used judiciously.
Some of the games that interest me are: Sports Champions, SingStar Dance, and Heavy Rain. There are lots to choose from for a variety of interests. Look for games that allow interaction and skill building.
If you already have a PlayStation®3, you can bring motion gaming to your system for only $99 with the MOVE bundle package. Way to upgrade!

I have all three systems and I hate to say that I now have the Kinect and the Move. Me personally the Move is 10x better than the kinect. Playstation has outdone them selves once again with a great product. And its all due to to the controllers with the move. Microsoft has to pick up the pace.
