Mom's wisdom:
Cherish your spiritual burdens because God will converse with you through them and will use you to do his work if you carry them well.

Alison Moore Smith is a 61-year-old entrepreneur who graduated from BYU in 1987. She has been (very happily) married to Samuel M. Smith for 40 years. They are parents of six incredible children and grandparents to two astounding grandsons. She is the author of The 7 Success Habits of Homeschoolers.
Amazing! What an amazing talk! If anyone wondered why he was called to be an apostle– there is your answer.
Thank you for shaing this talk with us! I have so much I could share about myself and how this talk has affected me, but I’d probably go on way tooo long. Thank you Allison.
I found this quote in Dallin Oaks’ _With Full Purpose of Heart_ : “Our needed conversions are often achieved more readily by suffering and adversity than by comfort and tranquility….” So, a testimony relies on suffering, on burdens.
I never realized that true *conversion* requires crap to happen to us, but I suppose I always knew that, really.
