Hello everyone, I am Tracy (yes, yet another Tracy), and I am really excited to join the writing team of Mormon Momma. To save confusion, maybe I will refer to myself as Tracy M.

I have enjoyed reading many of the posts on this blog and love the diversity of topics.

Recently I read an article in the Washington Post about Mitt Romney, and discovered a reference to Alison's blog in there. I was curious and followed the link to here. I enjoyed what was written in Mormon Momma and wanted to be a part of it. I guess Alison felt sorry for me as she is allowing me to prove myself. So here I am.

Who Am I

I am an Aussie, currently living the dream in New Zealand. My husband works for the church here, in the Australia/Pacific Area Office. But enough about him…

Some other interesting facts about me:

  1. I have 4 children – a daughter married, another daughter currently serving a mission in Utah, a third daughter about to return home to Sydney to continue her studies, and a 16-year-old son who thinks he is the center of the universe (which he probably will be once my daughter leaves for Sydney).
  2. I am one unit out from completing a BA in Internet Communications
  3. I love to write, and blogging gives me the freedom, and the audience, to do so.
  4. I am currently serving as a YWs leader in my ward, and loving those beautiful girls like they were my own.
  5. I have two blogs that I manage. A personal one documenting my experiences here in New Zealand – An Aussie Girl Meets Aotearoa and a more public one for LDS missionary mum's and families of missionaries – Missionary Mum's Meeting Place

Just a couple of things you might need to be aware of:

  • Here in Australia/New Zealand we tend to spell some things a little differently. i.e. colour, mum, favourite, realise etc (It is made all the more apparent when I type these words and they come up on my computer screen as being spelt incorrectly). So don't get too concerned about my apparent poor spelling habits.
  • I am working in a different time zone, so it may appear at times that I am ignoring you, but not really. It just means I am getting my beauty sleep at a different time to you.

Anyway, I am looking forward to contributing to the conversation here at Mormon Momma, and hope that I will be able to bring a unique voice to the blog.

Please let me know if there is something you would like me to write about.
