I started wearing glasses when I was two years old. Yea, seriously. One day I looked at my mom one of my eyes crossed right into my nose. By the time I was in second grade, I was also far-sighted and wore bifocals.

When I was 12, my eyes corrected. Yea, seriously. By themselves. I've had great vision ever since, but a couple of years ago I noticed that my arms are suddenly getting shorter (how does that happen?). I'm just not up to the hassle of glasses again, so I have been looking into lasik or other options. Wouldn't it be great to read a medicine bottle again?

The winners were just announced for the iLASIK Video Contest. There are some clever film shorts there that will get you excited to have your eyes corrected!

I have a daughter who is a senior in college majoring in film editing. She is amazing enough that she's served as the editor of her college sports show and was one handful of the thousands of student applicants that was granted an internship at the Disney Studios in Burbank a couple of years ago. I wish she has heard about the iLASIK Video Contest. With her expertise in film coupled with her years of experience with glasses and contacts (sorry for the gene pool!), I'm sure she would have been walking away with the $5,000 prize!
