Interior Doors

Raised panel doors are just so every-single-house-on-the-block. We really wanted some clean flat panel interior doors instead to compliment the simple lines of a modern craftsman style home. But such doors aren't easy to find.

Because Stock Building Supply's lumber invoice was $14,000 over the bid price (!), they promised to give us a killer deal on interior doors and trim. We got a bid from them, but got a comparative bid from Sunroc, through sales rep Mike Watts.

Sunroc not only had the absolute perfect door—the Jeld-Wen Craftsman III—but they offered us a smashing good deal on the interior doors and trim package offered us a great package. All the posturing aside, it was only a few hundred over the Stock bid — and the doors are vastly more lovely.

Most of the basement doors are hung. The main floor doors are on hold until the concrete finish crew can polish the main floor concrete later this week. (Polishers aren't kind to doors and trim.)
