Sam and I have a tradition of going out to eat together once per week and then doing something else. I've left the buttered popcorn alone—much to my chagrine—but the restaurant thing is getting old. Chicken salad at Zupas is good, but not every single week.
What I really need on this diet is a better idea of what the exchange rate is. Something like: for dinner you get three proteins, two carbs, and a fat. Then I need a list of what those possible exchanges would mean.
There is a page in the book about substitutes, but it's very short and some of the entries are nonsensical (like the one about protein powder). Ideas?
