We've been as close to perfect as we could be on the workouts. Yes, we're going on the easy side of all the number, but we haven't missed a single portion and we always do the optional day, too.

But I'm not so diligent about the food. I'm not following it “to the T.”

This week, I haven't once bothered to sauté up the veggies and combine them with the fish and coleslaw for dinner. I just grab some chicken and throw in some barley and beans. I don't know what that's supposed to approximate, but by the time I get to dinner—after running around all day to every possible event on the planet—I'm just too tired to stand at the stove.

I will try to do it tomorrow. Really. But I know I have a contract meeting in another city, some tax work to do, and a carload of people to pick up and take to a big show. Read that: another day of running around.

I've got to figure out how to manage so many meals when I'm often away from home in places I can't eat food. And, no, I don't mean places it might look silly to break out a plastic container and a magic bullet. I mean places like live theater, church meeting, singing events.

Really. You don't want me to sing while eating black beans and coleslaw with salsa.
