“Live the Life is not a diet!”
We heard that a few times at Girls Night Out. But if you ask me, it's just semantics. What is a diet, after all? It's just the foods people eat. If it's about what you eat, it's about a diet.
So, what are they talking about?
The most common definition of diet in the context of weight loss is “a special course of food to which one restricts oneself, either to lose weight or for medical reasons.”
And, well, Live the Life is that, too.
The problem is, I suppose, that when too many of us think of a diet, we think of the kind of diet that you couldn't possibly stand to be on for more than just a few months…or maybe weeks.
And Live the Life is definitely not that kind of diet.
In the weeks to come, I'll touch on some of the other diets I've been on over my life. But for today, I just want to let you know that the “special course of food” that is prescribed by Live the Life is not just livable. It's actually good.
