Build a custom home

Building is a nightmare. At least that's what I hear. Whenever someone learns we are building a custom home, the response is pretty predictable. Generally it's something like:

  • I hope you don't get divorced!
  • I've heard that's more stressful than a death in the family.
  • You're supposed to be done in June? You mean September, right?

Building is infamous for it's frustration, aggravation, mistakes, cost overruns, and lack of timeliness. So why have we done it so many times?

The end result outweighs the difficulties.

In the planning process, we decided to hire a general contractor. It was the best decision we made on the house, to date. Building a custom home includes so many moving parts, so many people, so many details. Having a trusted builder who is competent, helpful, accommodating, and easy to work with has been a real sanity saver.

When you decide to build your custom home, finding someone like Brad could make a “nightmare” situation bearable…and maybe even fun.
