We are ready to get bids on the countertops, tub/shower surrounds, tile, etc. for our custom home. If you are interested in bidding on all or some of the items below, please use the contact form or comment below.
After much deliberation, we have decided on the surfaces we would like to use. The materials are specified below. You may also download the cabinet drawings. You may also download the whole house drawings.
Please list each room separately and please include granite splashes as a line item so we can decide whether to use granite or tile.
Note: After extensive discussion with countertop fabricators, we have changed the surfaces to reflect current costs and options. The post now reflects those new choices. 7/16/10
Kitchen Countertops
Granite perimeter counters in Uba Tuba (or similar level one). No backsplash. If possible we would like an integrated drainboard in the counter to the left of the main sink. We know this can be done with a CNC. If you (a) don't know how to do it or (b) don't have the equipment, please bid anyway, but let us know your limitations. Bid backsplash as separate line item.
Granite island in Apollus (or similar “high level one, low level two”). The island is 11 feet long, so this will need a seam. We'd like to have the granite cut in an s-curve with a contrasting, s-shaped, granite remnant (about 2โ6 inches wide) placed in between the Apollus pieces. We know this can be done with a CNC. If you (a) don't know how to do it or (b) don't have the equipment, please just bid on the perimeter counters and we will find a different fabricator for the island.
Granite window sill over sink in Apollus.

This includes three kids' bathrooms (two in basement, one in attic), basement guest bathroom, the office bathroom, the office kitchenette.
Cultured marble with coved backsplash. White with gold veining (called 208 Gold where we saw it). We'd like sinks integrated into the counters. Tub/shower surrounds to go to the above the showerhead with trim piece along outside edge extending to the floor. Include trim, soap dish, shampoo shelf, and window wraps on two of the tubs.
Other Covered Surfaces

I read the first version and really love the updated list. Could you explain why you made the changes you did? That would be very helpful to me!
