After studying the First Amendment, Monica (9) composed the list of rules she would employ at her own newspaper company.
- Don't put bad words
- Make kid friendly
- Put stuff that's not all about Anna Nicole or famous people
- Put no lies in the paper
- Also put some comics
Alison Moore Smith is a 61-year-old entrepreneur who graduated from BYU in 1987. She has been (very happily) married to Samuel M. Smith for 40 years. They are parents of six incredible children and grandparents to two astounding grandsons. She is the author of The 7 Success Habits of Homeschoolers.
What a wise daughter. I think the First Amendment would be much improved if it required comics.
LOL Oh, Melinda, this list wasn’t ADDITIONS to the constitution. It was the rules Monica would have if she owned a newspaper. Do I need to reword that to make it more clear?
No, I understood that. I just thought it was funny she went from the First Amendment to comics. Will she be publishing anything here? It might be fun to hear a 9-yo’s news report.
LOL How did she know who Anna Nicole was? Fess up, Alison. It’s the National Enquirer, isn’t it?
Fox News. The coverage was endless. Every time we TRIED to watch the news for weeks, that’s all there was.
ha ha!
