Learn from the past. Live in the present. Plan for the future.
This is the day to start making brilliant decisions. Every day is a chance to make a past worth remembering and for building a foundation for your future.
Don't look back. Move forward. 2011 can be the best year of your life.

Alison – Great message in this video. Anybody can choose to leave the past behind and move forward. All you need is some faith that things will work out for you better in the future.
Totally agreed “Learn from the past. Live in the present. Plan for the future.” This is something which seems very easy but very difficult to implement. But yes everyone can do it, you only need the will power.
Shailender, isn’t that the truth. Talk is cheap. Implementation is much harder. But I need the reminders and hope someone else benefits from them as well. ๐
The past is past. Let it not haunt you but learn from your past mistakes and move on.
Andrew, Akismet thought you were spam. Of all the nerve!
Thanks for dropping by and commenting. Happy new year!
Kerry, I’ve been thinking a lot about this lately, about how we often live so much in the past. Whether it’s living with regret for things we’ve done or not done or lost or longing for times that are gone. (Too often, times that we didn’t even appreciate when we were living them!)
We can learn from the past, but beyond that, dwelling there mostly just means we miss the blessings of the present and, in turn, don’t make progress for the future. In other words, it’s a waste of time and effort!
I’m committed, this year, to move on. I hope to hear from others who might be on the same path. ๐
Thanks for stopping by.
nice quotes there ” Learn from the past. Live in the present. Plan for the future.” I should impart this to myself. I sometimes live for the past that I shouldn’t have.
Gladys, thanks for dropping by. Best wishes on your 2011 goals!
Thank you alison, Cheers to your year too!
good post for people with bad experiences in2010
True, but just as important for those with good experiences!
Have you ever known someone who was one of the most popular kids in high school and years รขโฌโ even decades รขโฌโ later are still doing nothing but reliving “the good old days”? Did you ever see Napolean Dynamite? Remember the pathetic middle-aged guy who kept trying to relive his glory football days? A parody, to be sure, but not far from the truth to too many.
Life isn’t in the past, it’s today. Move on!
