My husband, Sam, lived in American Samoa from the time he was eight until he was 11. His parents were teaching at a private school. Seven years later he went back across the sea and served a two-year religious mission in both American Samoa and Wester Samoa.
Needless to say, we have a love for everything Polynesian and have what I call “the shrine” to Samoa in our family room.
Whenever I find an unique product or service, I like to share it with readers. Today I found just such a business that fits right in with our Samoan theme.
Bamboo & Tikis has all sorts of fabulous island themes products. From entire sets of bamboo furniture to bamboo rugs to bamboo matting. You could decorate an entire home in Polynesian goodness without any trouble at all.
Do you have a lush yard with a pool? How about finishing off some areas with natural rolled bamboo fences? Add a couple of tiki statues around the pool.
For the crowning glory, create a thatch umbrella to add shade and function, as well as a big kick of style.
Now gather your friends in your new tropical paradise. Throw some burgers on the barbecue and whip up a pineapple slush. You're in for some island fun.

Very nice concept! I would like that kind of setting on our balcony. A nice cozy look and feel using light materials in a particular area though our home is really modern would add a different appeal in the setting.
This is quite interesting and I think it would feel very refreshing with these tropical goods. How much would a bamboo bench cost? Thank you very much for sharing this wonderful information!
It’s nice to have a tropical paradise in your home, it just feels so relaxing. My apartment is modern inspired that’s why it’s always refreshing to visit our home in LA.
Hey I wish I could travel like your husband…. He is a busy man it seems…. by the way this is a really nice concept that you have come up with….
Thanks
It looks great! Like Susan, I am also interested to know the price of the bamboo bench ..
Warm wishes,

Fabulous idea! My granda has a large swimming pool in the province and Bamboo & Tiki seems to have the best decors and outdoor accessories to accentuate the area around the pool.
This looks really nice! I really like bamboo furniture or decorations around my house, I like how it brings out a Zen inspiration around.
A perfect sanctuary to chill out with the gang and family during the hot weather. We need more of these outdoor idea in the Philippines 🙂
Oh I love tropical settings! It gives me a relaxing feeling just like having a vacation.

Awesome idea! I have a modern home but good garden space. I want to build such wonderful bamboo home. I have few question, how reliable it is against storm, snow fall and rainfall? How much it cost to prepare a 8X8 SF bamboo home? Hope to hear from soon.

Brenda.
