In these last days, perhaps our greatest work will be with our loved ones — good people living in a wicked world.
Families are a God-given laboratory where we’re figuring things out, so missteps and miscalculations are not just possible but probable. … Let’s zoom out to view family relationships as the powerful vehicle to teach us the lessons we came here to learn as we turn to the Savior.
While our families aren’t perfect, we can perfect our love for others until it becomes a constant, unchanging, no-matter-what kind of love — the type of love that supports change and allows for growth and return. … In earthly families, we’re simply doing what God has done with us — pointing the way and hoping our loved ones will go in that direction, knowing the path they travel is theirs to choose.
It is my witness that the Savior has the ability, because of His Atonement, to turn any nightmare you are going through into a blessing.
It’s the Savior’s work to bring our loved ones back. It’s His work and His timing. It is our work to provide the hope and a heart they can come home to.

Purpose of life, be a little better, kinder, more prepared to be in the presence of God.

I love this woman. I'll just start with that.
We can walk the path of Christ broken.
A covenant is not just about a contract, it's about a relationship.
Their choice of garment is a representative of their covenant with God.
What kind of relationship do we want with Jesus Christ.
I want her full quote of why she follows the covenant path.
I want to live in a committed, covenant relationship with him. It was beautiful.
No matter the heaviness of our story, or the current course of our path, He will invite us to walk with Him.
Pace or placement on the path are not as important as progress.

Fast and Testimony meeting, to express our commitment to follow Christ.
Quentin L. Cook
it is never easy for followers of Jesus Christ.
Bad things happen to good people. I honestly do not understand HOW this can be confusing to people if they simply look outside their own lives a few years or a few miles. Bad things happen to EVERY person. Let's stop making this a point of faithfulness or testimony.
Christ took on our pains, afflictions, infirmities, AND sin.
All that is unfair about life can be made whole through the atonement of Christ.
Earth has no sorrow that heaven cannot heal.
Dieter F. Uchtdorf

It wasn't just an empty stomach that troubled him. It was an empty soul.
Prodigal son:
Father: how many thousands of hours worrying, pleading with God, looking down the road – for safety, return.
The mother is not part of this story, but I assure you she spent at least as much time in pleading for her child.
It is not possible for you to sink lower than the infinite light of Christ’s Atonement shines. ~ Jeffery R. Holland
Coming back is not easy, but it's possible. Heaven will rejoice.
W. Christopher Waddell
Jesus Christ is the only hero.
Henry B. Eyring
Must have the guidance of Holy Ghost to survive days to come.
We can be taught by the spirit line upon line.
Assignment from Lord that seems far beyond our capacity: I will go and do the things the Lord commands…
Guided minute by minute on the Lord's errand.
It is not easy to achieve ongoing guidance from the spirit.
You must not succumb to the fear that God has abandoned you.
Must want the guidance of God for the Lord's purposes. Want what the Savior wants. Desires driven by the will of God.
I want my “confidence to wax strong in the presence of God.”
God loves you and hears your every prayer.

Amy’s testimonial brought tears to my eyes as she visited about her cancer experience.
It brought back vivid memories of how I felt when they told me the diagnosis for myself. The emotional sinking feelings as your spirit runs the negative aspects.
Faith in heavenly father is the answer
Sorry to hear about your cancer journey. I was not able to hear her talk live. I’ll listen tonight.
My son-in-law was diagnosed with an oligodendroglioma in May of 2022, when my daughter (his wife) was 10 months pregnant with baby #2. I know more about brain cancer now than I ever ever ever wanted to. Cancer is horrific.

Can I be president of the Emily Belle Freeman fan club?
I especially have loved the choir selections today!
Only if I can be VP. 🙂 She’s wonderful. I also really liked Tamara W. Runia, yesterday. One of the few I heard.
A friend who is in choir said at least a couple were new arrangements.

Pres. Nelson explained the reason he did not attend Conference in person is because hurt the muscles in his back. And more Temples announced.
I worry about Elder Holland… he has had a very difficult year. I hope he heals quickly and more fully.
Yes, I think he fell? Back injuries are horrible.
We were pretty excited about Samoa. My husband lived there for three years as a kid and went back on his mission (before they had any temples).
Today is my son’s P-day and so we got a call. We were also talking about Elder Holland. Love him.
