Why We Still Have Sunday School

Mom’s wisdom:

Of course everything has been said that needs to be said β€” but since no one was listening, it has to be said again.

Good to remember, my hubby hates Sunday school and often asks me why he should bother with it. I figure that’s why he often gets callings that require him to be there πŸ™‚

Sometimes it’s hard to listen to people preaching their own personal doctrine, or the people that make long comments completely unrelated to the topic, I know we’re not supposed to judge, but does that mean we have to enjoy the random not gospel related tangents? *sigh* I guess I’m just showing off my imperfections.

AmberMae – I don’t think we have to enjoy the tangents, just be tolerant of them, and try not to initiate them. πŸ˜‰ And, if a class member is preaching the doctrine according to ___, we can always counter that with another point of view. I did not love Sunday School until I taught it – and I still think I would love it more, if I could teach it again. Not that I’m that great of a teacher, but that I learn so much and get so excited about it when I am teaching it. I need to learn to have that same enjoyment in preparing for Sunday School and being in Sunday School, even when I am not teaching.
