Peeps and Prescriptions

This post brought to you by Walgreens. All opinions are 100% mine.

You know Walgreens. It’s the pharmacy you can always count on, even when others are closed down for the night. Having been a mom for over 24 years, I can’t even count the number of times I’ve had an emergency resolved by the local Walgreens store. Not the least of which was the Great Peep Shortage of 2002.

If you think I’m using hyperbole to describe the tenuous situation we had one Easter when every single store in the county was sold out of peeps, you’d be wrong. I had searched and called and driven around, only to find a huge supply of peeps at the local Walgreens.

Right now they are offering a discount on annual memberships for the Walgreens Prescription Savings Club. A family membership is only $35 per year and covers you, your spouse, and your dependents 25 and under. And, yes, it even covers pets.

If you haven’t been to Walgreens lately, check out what they have to offer:

  • More than 8,000 medications — both brand-name and generic.
  • Bonuses when you buy the Walgreens brand and/or photo services.
  • Discounted flu shots
  • Discounted nebulizers and diabetic supples
  • Discounts on pet prescriptions

Follow Walgreens on Twitter and like Walgreens on Facebook. You can keep up with the latest specials and promotions.

Thanks for the idea to go there. If you say like this I think it is really worth doing it.

Totally agree – they are a really reliable Pharmacy. What’s more, the customer service is pretty top notch too

Do you prefer hard Peeps or soft Peep?
I like them fresh, right out of a new package.
The rest of my family likes to let them sit out a couple of days and harden up.
It has me wondering… “Who is the weird one… them or me?”
    Thanks – DG

Are they open 24 hours? These 24 hour stores can be blessings sometimes…you’ll never know when an emergency can happen and it’s comforting to know that there are stores nearby you can run too.
