The crew is building the custom closet organizers for the entire house. Having these done with finish work (instead of the cabinet-style closet systems) saves a bundle and still works just to your specifications. These easy closets make organizing a breeze.
Half of the closets in each kids’ bedrooms and the guest bedroom will feature a double closet rod. We have raised these above the norm so that the bottom rack can accommodate skirts. (In most closets, they drag on the floor. The other half is equally divided with shelves and a small section for hanging longer items.
Because these closets all have bi-pass doors, the shelving was specifically placed so that the doors won’t impede clear access to them. Make cleaning up easy and it’s more likely to happen.
The large master bedroom closet features a built-in dresser (provided by the cabinet company) on the wall opposite the window, with narrow shoe shelves above. Each wall is identical his and hers, with a double set of shelves, double hanging rods, and a small section for hanging longer items. There are also storage shelves above the hanging rods for more storage.
The pantry features room for a service sink with mops and brooms hanging above, cleaning supply storage, a second refrigerator and freezers, and lots and lots of storage shelves. The shelves were spaced specifically for the Cansolidator system and the Tupperware I use for storing our food items.
In addition, work is being done on multiple storage, coat, and linen closets. When completed, these will all be painted in a white, semi-gloss paint. This not only increases visibility but is easy to clean.
