I love Dave Ramsey. He's a great inspiration for those who've made bad financial decisions and are overwhelmed with debt. But his “beans and rice, rice and beans” mantra sounds so boring and unattractive!
If you want to have a life that includes an occasional chopped steak (with a side of beans and rice, of course) while getting out of debt, look for ways to add in those great life events at a bargain price. If you don't pay full price you can squeeze a lot more out of your budget.
A Cheap Seat is a ticket broker that offers tickets to great events across the country at the lowest price possible. They offer tickets for the opera, the circus, theater, boxing, rodeo, figure skating, baseball, golf, stand-up comedians. The list goes on and on (and on). Did you know Joan Jett was still touring?! Just a few tickets offered:
- Wachovia Arena tickets
- Chicago Theatre Tickets
- Los Angeles Lakers Tickets
- Jeff Dunham Tickets
- Jerry Seinfeld Tickets
Looking through their inventory, I found some personal favorites. I'd love to attend any of these events.
- Blue Man Group
- Journey (shout out to the 80s!)
- Michael Buble
- Lion King
- The Addams Family
- Much Ado About Nothing
- So You Think You Can Dance
If you're budgeting, but really need a night out, check out A Cheap Seat. You can fit in an occasional night on the town without breaking the bank.
